Wow, this is so important! My team really struggled with this for awhile…

I was doing QA after eng merged issues and the code was in our staging environment. If I gave feedback that it wasn’t functionally working it would get fixed but if it was only visual design feedback it would usually not get fixed.

Now, I’m tagged on every product related PR and the engineers include screenshots or gif’s to show me how it looks. This way I’m giving feedback at the same time other engineers are giving feedback on the code structure.

This has drastically improved our process, our product looks better for it, and we saved time by not having to go back and fix design debt issues.

Would love to hear how other teams are specifically solving this problem!! We are always looking to improve our processes.
